April 7, 2021 - Be sure to pass by our Green Street fence this month to see the colorful results of last Saturday’s “yarnbombing.” Around forty UUCUC members and friends of all ages gathered in shifts throughout the day, and transformed our ordinary fence into an explosion of color and creativity.
  • Hearts from Covid Memorial Moved to First Mennonite Church April 5, 2021 - Our Open Hearts memorial to lives lost to COVID in Champaign County has moved to our neighboring Mennonite Church. A group of volunteers from both congregations met on Friday, April 2 to prayerfully remove the hearts from our lawn and carry them down the street to their new home.
  • ‘Open Hearts’ COVID Memorial Moving to First Mennonite This Week March 31, 2021 - The First Mennonite Church on Lincoln will be hosting the community "Open Hearts" memorial for the next few months. Immense thanks to Julie Laut, the youth of UUCUC, and Cloydia Larimore for support for this memorial. It will be seen by many driving by on Lincoln Avenue.
