From UUCUC member and former Chair, Green UUS, Andy Robinson

On March 29, 2017, Ameren gave the OK to energize the system. Our Ameren engineer was named Star, and by chance, her daughter even goes to the church. She swapped our utility meter for one of the first new bi-directional “smart meters.” She said within a year new online tools will allow us to see more detail about use and generation. Below is the team posing for a picture.

Meters

We have two meters on our system. The eGauge is in the building and shows total array generation in green and building use in red. There is also a simplified kiosk view that shows three days at a time and the equivalent carbon offsets.

The enphase display shows more information about the array itself and shows some energy over time information nicely: https://enlighten.enphaseenergy.com/pv/public_systems/Z4JV1211483/overview

Construction Photos

Here are some photos on the days that solar panels were installed at the church. Enjoy!
