Hospitable Parking on Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings please reserve spaces in UUCUC’s parking lot for guests and
newcomers and for persons with limited mobility. Additional street parking is available on
Cedar and High Streets as well as in the parking lot behind Timothy Johns Salon at the
northwest corner of Green and Birch Streets. Note that this lot is only available to us from
3:00 Saturday until the end of the day on Sunday.

Rev KB – Call for Reproductive Justice 

Each year since 1973, abortion rights activists have gathered on This weekend- on this day- January 22 for Roe v. Wade Day to celebrate the Supreme Court decision that granted a constitutional right to abortion.

But now, 50 years after the decision, Roe v. Wade Day will be different: today marks the first anniversary of Roe since the ruling was overturned.

UUCUC at Books To Prisoners

Books to Prisoners is a local nonprofit organization that provides books, on request, to incarcerated people throughout the state of Illinois. The UUCUC Racial Justice Project is arranging a special session for UUs to learn about the program, fill book orders, and spend time together in this fulfilling, direct-action volunteer activity.

Board of Trustees Receives Safety and Security Assessment Report

The Board of Trustees engaged Good Havens Consulting and its director, Dr. Trudy Good to conduct a
safety and security audit to provide recommendations for how UUCUC might improve in this arena.
During the January Study Session, Dr. Good, attended this meeting to share her findings as well as
presented the board with foundational knowledge related to threat assessment.
