A couple of opportunities for you to help out— our own Julie Laut has set up a “Little Free Pantry” in front of her house at 505 W. Main, Urbana. She welcomes your donations of food & personal care products, in particular: pasta sauce, canned soup, tuna & beans.
There is a long list of talented religious education volunteers who shared their time and wisdom with this congregation over the past year. By the end of May, Michele Grove, interim director of religious education hopes to send them care packages with notes of gratitude.

During this time of COVID-19, many people are thinking about their own end-of-life plans. Some may be thinking about decisions they may need to make should they become sick, others may be realizing that they haven’t thought about–or communicated to loved ones–what types of interventions they might like to have (or not have) at the end of life.
At 16, I began organizing concerts to raise money for the local food pantry. Much later in 2017, I found myself starting to receive calls from U-C residents who were seeking advice on local community matters because they saw me as a mentor.
