Jenny Hunt

Jenny was born in Homestead, Florida but has spent most of her life in different areas of the Midwest; Indiana, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Michigan and Illinois. She has made the rounds of many Protestant churches: Congregational, Presbyterian, Methodist, before deciding that “church” just wasn’t for her. She spent 15 years traveling with and learning from Native American elders, that re-awakened in her the awareness and connection that much of her spirituality is rooted in nature. She found UUCUC in 2013 and dabbled here until Kristi and her joined in 2015 before getting married here.
The Principles struck a chord with Jenny and she could continue believing what was right for her while also continuing to expand her spiritual horizons. The bulk of her career life was spent as a counseling therapist specializing in childhood trauma, grief and loss, and addictions recovery. She is looking forward to serving this congregation on the board, once again, during this time of major transition.
