Journey Yinside

Join us for a four-part, low-intensity, yin yoga journey where we will connect our mind and body. Yin is a
quiet and slow-paced practice designed to penetrate deep into the connective tissues of the body,
through extended holds (~2-5 minutes). This allows practitioners to tune into sensations of the body and
practice mindful awareness. Postures are static in nature, and most are seated, supine (laying on the
back) or prone (laying on the stomach). Care will be taken in this setting to avoid tabletop position and
modifications will be suggested for inclusion of all body types. The practice strengthens mind-body
connections, promotes healthy connective tissues for flexibility and harmonizes the energetic flow (Qi)
in the body.

Not a yogi? Not a problem! This class is designed for beginners- both to meditation and to yoga! If you
live in a body and have lungs, this practice is for you! This class will be held in the Fireside room the
second and fourth Wednesdays in April and May. Space is limited to the first 5 participants.
If you have a yoga mat and block, I would appreciate you using your own equipment. If you do not own
these items, no worries! I have a few extras we can arrange for you to borrow.

Jocelyn Karsk will be leading these sessions. Jocelyn has been attending the Yoga Teacher Training at
Amara yoga and will complete her 200hr training at the end of April.
Please contact Jocelyn if you have questions or concerns.
