Last Saturday, some of our YRUU Youth were part of an interfaith event at Elevate Trampoline Park in Champaign.  Sponsored by UUCUC, we also had youth attending from several other churches: New Covenant Fellowship, Copper Creek Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran.  Over 10 youths were in attendance (couldn’t get an accurate count, since there was so much bouncing around going on during the 90-minute event).

A good time was had by the Youth – some of whom knew each other through school or other interfaith events around town. All that trampoline-time turned out to be a nice way to relieve some stress of final projects and exams as the end of their semesters loomed.  Everyone pitched in on a search, when one of the youths lost their cell phone in a foam pit; the phone was happily recovered after a bit of searching.  

Possible future interfaith events were discussed in 2023 – what about some broomball at the Ice Arena skating rink one evening in the near future?  Stay in touch and make sure you are connected to the YRUU email groups.
