We have successfully renewed our status as a Welcoming Congregation! This is a big deal! To attain renewal our church documented actions such as holding church services on LGBTQ+ issues, acknowledging special days of remembrance, and supporting community projects that benefit the LGBTQ+ community. UUCUC already had a Welcoming Congregation study group up and running, so were able to quickly work on meeting these renewal criteria from the UUA. Going forward, the renewal process occurs annually, so we need to continue to integrate LGBTQ+ programs and actions within our church year.
