Six youth and four adults made the most of their extra day in February. Last Saturday, a group traveled to Springfield to join youth from three other Unitarian Universalist congregations in a day of service and community building.
The group studied the importance of voting, our vital role in preserving the environment and the importance of caring for animals. Most important, these youth made connections with each other and a wider Unitarian Universalist community.
We are currently dreaming about inviting the youth of these congregations to our own congregation next year. It will be fun to watch how these budding relationships bloom and grow over the next several years. Thank you, chaperones and youth for making this a special day.
