UUCUC Draft Reopening Framework Passed by Board

The Board of Trustees voted on Tuesday, June 22 to pass the Draft Reopening Framework document, developed by the COVID Advisory Task Force and reviewed by the CU Public Health District. It will go into effect immediately, for the summer, but the Board will host listening sessions in August for further input before passing the final version at the end of August.

The intention of the document is to guide UUCUC in the safe reopening of our building, based on COVID risk levels, and recognizing that if there is a resurgence of the virus we could also use the document to guide us in scaling back use of the building.

Due to the complexity of resuming our regular Sunday mornings both in person and online, and with a mix of vaccinated adults and children who are not yet eligible for vaccination, the earliest Sunday we will be gathering in the building is Labor Day weekend, but we will have a Water Communion/Ingathering/Picnic at Crystal Lake Park on August 29th

Our office will begin having regular hours in September, but as of this week, small group meetings can be scheduled in the building by contacting Zoe at admin@uucuc.org. Please follow all safety guidelines in the Reopening Framework when meeting in the building.

For a quick reference guide, you can print our reopening matrix. We are currently in the GREEN risk level.  For a more detailed discussion of the reopening framework, please read the letter from Rev. Florence Caplow at this link.
