UU Generosity Continues

From the Social Action Committee

The combined giving from our shared offering collections continue to provide substantial support for local agencies.  The shared offering amounts for the first three months of 2020 are as follows:

$2,521.18 (January 2020) – Champaign County Bailout Coalition.  CCBC is a coalition of groups and individuals committed to bailing out individuals from the county jail who accused of non-violent crimes who cannot afford bail

$2,424.00 (February 2020) – Salt and Light Ministries.   Provide access to food, clothing, and household goods for at-risk community members.  Members gain a sense of community of people who empower, affirm and encourage them. Members can gain credit toward purchases by working in the store

$4,103.30 (March 2020) – Randolph Street Community Garden.    This is a volunteer-run project committed to providing opportunities for residents of the north-end of Champaign to grow fresh organic produce. This project also educates youth and adults about the benefits of gardening, sells extra produce through a mini-market, and has established an “Honor Garden” to recognize individuals who have helped make the community a better place.

Thank you for your continued support of agencies and programs in our community.
