We recently polled the congregation on whether our current masking requirement in the Sanctuary during services should be removed when the COVID-19 transmission level in Champaign County is at low or medium. Here are the results:

• Yes: 51 votes
• No: 33 votes
• I don’t have an opinion: 5 votes

We will continue to ask that masks be worn in the Sanctuary through the holiday season and into the early part of the new year as an extra precaution for our congregants, since the holidays have typically been a time of year where COVID cases have notably increased. We will then move forward on removing the mask requirement if the transmission level in Champing County remains at low or medium, while still welcoming and offering masks to those in our community who feel safer with them. We will update the congregation early next year once we have modified our COVID safety guidelines.
