Update from Cunningham Township on Utility Bills

You may recall that UUCUC provided a way to donate to a “UU Utility Fund” from December 2020 through April 2021. Donations collected were then given to Cunningham Township, with a final donation pending as of June.

To that end, Danielle Chynoweth gave an update to Rev. Caplow on the totals they have collected and the remaining balances. Huge thanks to those who have donated to this fund to help those in need!

With LIHEAP closing for the season, we are seeing a significant increase in requests for utility support. I just wanted to give you an update on where we stand:

$25,787.41 in donations

$7,556.37 in expenses to pay off 7 power bills and 9 water bills.

$18,231.04 Balance

Also, I will mention our Angel Donor fund – a separate, broader fund to support emergency rent and utilities, food deliveries to disabled, low income and immigrant households, emergency housing for families and disabled residents, and housewares for homeless families moving into independent housing. I have attached the detailed report.

In summary:
$122,166.09 in donations since we started December 2018

$82,767.38 in expenses

$39,398.71 Balance
