Unbudgeted Requests List Submission Form
An Unbudgeted Requests List is maintained by the church office upon which councils and committees (or staff members working with councils/committee) can request items for some aspect of church facilities or programs that are not covered by the yearly church budget. The Unbudgeted Request List will be published in order to attract donors of cash for that particular item. A group of people may pool their donations to meet the cost of a particular Unbudgeted Request List item. It is up to the donors to organize pooled contributions. The Council/committee will select and purchase an item or arrange for a service, unless the committee designates that responsibility to the donor(s) or to someone else.
Individuals are discouraged from purchasing an item or just giving an item to the church without having agreement that the item is truly a benefit to a particular mission of UUCUC. Additionally, Councils and committees should consult the Treasurer to determine if other funds may be available to support the Unfunded Request List item prior to submitting the proposal form. A tracking file of wish list items/services will be maintained by the church office, an this information will be included on the tracking file:
- Identification of Unbudgeted item;
- Publicity;
- Donor identification;
- Money collected and item purchased;
- Recognition/record keeping
Proposals are reviewed and approved by the Operations Council during their normal monthly business meeting. All approvals are for six months. After six months, Unfunded Requests List items will be removed from the List if not fully funded.
