Transgender Day of Remembrance at UUCUC

From Rev. Florence Caplow

Transgender Day of Remembrance falls on November 20th each year. This year, in collaboration with the UP Center, we hosted a vigil and solemn reading of the 22 names of transgender persons who died by violence in the US since last November. More than 50 people came to the event, many in our Sanctuary for the first time.

Rev. Florence Caplow, Kathleen Robbins, Jerry Carden, and Zev Alexander spoke, and special thanks to Jim Hannum for his organizing effort.
