The UU Walkers Work for Relief

CU CROP Walk works to alleviate hunger and poverty and to help with disaster relief. The walk
serves to raise both funds and awareness of the issues.

Hunger and poverty are huge problems which can be tackled only if we work together, and take
one step at a time. Likewise, huge natural disasters take a global network of organizations
working together. This is what CROP Walk does.

The frequency of heartbreaking disasters in the world is increasing, with the horrendous dam
breaking in Libya, and the massive earthquake in Morocco. Thousands of people have lost their
lives. CROP Walk is part of these relief efforts, along with their global partners. You can help!
Our church’s UU Walkers team is: Karen Folk, Jerry Frye, Jennifer Greene, Jody Hanger, Sandy
Hannum, Wendy Hartley, Cindy Loui, Nancy Parker, Jean Peters, and Lisa Sechler. Please
support them in their compassionate work!

Go to the CU CROP Hunger Walk website and donate on behalf of the UU Walkers, or a
particular walker. Or find one of the UU Walkers at church, and hand them a donation.
