A small family graveside memorial for Burt Swanson was held Wednesday, June 24th at Mount Hope Cemetery, Rev. Florence Caplow officiating. Burt’s widow Iris, wanted to share this with the congregation:

Dear Members and Friends at UU:

By now I’m sure most of you know that my husband Burt Swanson passed away on April 23. I was thinking this morning of his friends and “family” at UU, and how much he loved coming to the service on Sunday and seeing all of you. He knew the way, and as long as he could drive, it was one of the highlights of his week. There were so many times when he needed assistance or help, and it meant so much to know that his family at UU would take care of him. Thank you for looking after him, and giving him a chance to be there as long as possible. A special thank you to the caregivers who visited him regularly at the care center. I know that it brought him joy.
