From Sandra Hannum

The UU Walkers: Sam Beshers, Karen Folk, Jennifer Greene, Jody Hanger, Sandy Hannum, AJ Herzog, Kristy Higgs & Bill Mermelstein, Pat McClard, Lisa & Rick Morgan, Jean Peters, Karen Retzer, Lisa Sechler & Stephen Dolan, and David Wolf, worked hard and raised $4,555 for CROP Walk, thanks to support from the congregation, family and friends. We had a beautiful day for the event. Our church was a water / rest stop, and Jim Hannum, Mona Shannon, and Jenna Zeidler hosted and welcomed everyone, which was very good for our church!

A special thank you to Brian Franklin for all your help in publicizing this event! The community as a whole raised $27,650, of which 25% will go to our local charities that serve the hungry, and 75% will go to urgent humanitarian projects around the world, such as hurricane relief and refugee assistance.

It is most gratifying to be part of such a caring, generous congregation. Thank you.
