All UU ministers go through a long and rigorous process as part of their official recognition by the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations (UUA). Rev. Sally was accepted into “Preliminary Fellowship” by the UUA in 2019, and was ordained to ministry in 2020. For these past three years, she has worked with us at UUCUC to file regular evaluations and professional development plans (shoutout to the volunteers who have served on the team doing this work!). Sally filed her last round of paperwork in July of this year, and just last week, she received a letter from the UUA confirming that she has been granted “Full Fellowship,” the final step in the process of ministerial credentialing.
Here is an excerpt from the UUA’s letter:
“Welcome, Rev. Sally, into Full Fellowship! You’ve had a year filled with creative, collaborative worship, a passion for social justice, and meaningful pastoral presence. We have no doubt that you will serve as an outstanding resource and ministry partner to your newly settled colleague. Many blessings on your continued journey! A reminder of what you already know – keeping up with your self-care and spiritual practices is essential for a sustained and healthy ministry. You have put together great systems of support Rev. Sally which will be an asset to you all through your ministerial career. Welcome to Full Fellowship!”
Congratulations to Rev. Sally! We will plan a communal celebration of this milestone in the spring of this church year.
