UUCUC will have ten delegate slots for the 2021 General Assembly of the UUA – three for staff and seven for lay members, but there is no upper limit for numbers of UUs who can participate in GA. The event will be virtual and live beginning Wednesday evening, June 23 and extending through early afternoon of Sunday, June 27, 2021. Last year there were 4,900 UU’s registered. This year the UUA projects more than 5,000 participants from more than 750 congregations.
The registration fee is $200 and UUCUC has a budget line to assist any of our folks who request support. Details for registration and the program can be found on the www.uua.org web site – there is a button for GA near the bottom left corner of the cover page of the UUA site.
This year the theme is “Circle Round for Justice, Healing, and Courage”. GA is a time to circle round in community, in care and healing, for liberation and justice, and for love and courage.
For more information about the annual GA, contact David Gross (DLGgeology@aol.com) or Rev. Florence (minister@uucuc.org). Both have been to many annual General Assembles.
We in UUCUC are not alone, we are not an isolated island. We are part of a larger, loving UU community. You can find and feel that community at the annual General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations
