We have an RE team!

And what an exciting team we think it will be. Rose St. Clair has accepted our offer to become our Coordinator of Religious Exploration and Engagement (CREE), and Adrienne Summerlot, former DRE for the UU Church in Bloomington, Indiana, has accepted our offer to become our remote 1/4 time Consulting Director of Religious Exploration and Engagement (Consulting DREE).

These two bring a wealth of commitment to children and youth, strong passion for justice work, excitement about our vision, and great energy and creativity (Adrienne is particularly passionate about OWL). Adrienne was highly recommended by Nancy Combs-Morgan, our UUA Regional RE Consultant. Rose has lived in Champaign-Urbana for the last 8 years, has a Master’s in Social Work, and has been working as a social worker at Yankee Ridge Elementary. They identify as gender non-binary and use “they/them” pronouns. They love that we are a Welcoming congregation!

Adrienne and Rose will start work in early August. The RE Search Team is over the moon about the potential synergy of this team. Look for a letter from Rev. Caplow later this week with more details.
