A challenge to Wisconsin’s abortion ban will likely go before the Wisconsin Supreme Court later this year.  A swing seat on the Court is up for election on April 4.

The UUCUC Reproductive Justice Team is working through the Wisconsin UU Social Action Network to write nonpartisan postcards to Wisconsin voters.  

Stop by the table in Fellowship Hall after Sunday’s service to write a card or two.

The New York Times wrote:

Wisconsin will hold an election that carries bigger policy stakes than any other contest in America in 2023.  The election for a swing seat on Wisconsin’s Supreme Court has huge policy stakes for the battleground state.

The April [4th] race, for a seat on the state’s evenly divided Supreme Court, will determine the fate of abortion rights, gerrymandered legislative maps and the Wisconsin governor’s appointment powers — and perhaps even influence the state’s 2024 presidential election.
