October Shared Offering

Survivor Resource Center (SRC) is the sole agency dedicated to serving the needs of survivors of
sexual violence in Vermilion, Edgar and Clark counties.

SRC provides counseling, court advocacy, medical advocacy, and operates a 24-hour Sexual
Violence Hotline. SRC’s services are attuned to the needs of survivors from historically
marginalized communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals and people of color. You can learn
more at their website: https://www.survivorresourcecenter.org/

Sexual assault prevention education is an important part of the agency’s vision to end sexual
violence in their community: agency educators reach over thousands of children, youth and
adults each year through age-appropriate prevention programs.

Survivors who use their services report that SRC offers a lifeline: counseling to help with
symptoms of PTSD, advocacy during the complicated and sometimes baffling court process.
Parents and teachers are thankful for the free, age-appropriate consent education provided in
area schools.

With the help of the UU Shared Offering, SRC will continue their proud legacy of assisting
people at one of the most difficult times in their lives.
