During the month of November, our monthly social action offering will support the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. UUSC is a 4-star nonprofit organization that strives to center the voices of people most affected by injustice.
They create relationships with frontline grassroots movements across the world that support marginalized communities. This work is especially important during this global pandemic. UUSC is providing flexible support to their grantee partners around the world and encouraging their partners to pivot as needed in response to the pandemic. Now and following the pandemic, UUSC will support self-determination and defend the rights of people displaced due to climate, conflict, oppression, or economic hardships.
In addition to our regular social action offering, we are supporting UUSC via the Guest at Your Table program (GAYT). GAYT is UUSC’s annual intergenerational program to raise support for and awareness about key human rights issues. Each participating family will receive a special box that you can use to invite 4 special guests into their home. You can place money in the box and learn about UUSC’s global partners. Please contact Michele Grove if you would like a GAYT box for your table or print one from home. Join with UUs to celebrate our grassroots partnerships, support human rights, and learn about this year’s guests. View this video to Meet Our Guests.
