Dear UUCUC community,
Last Sunday, September 11, our amazing Settled Search Team (SS-Team) led the service and carefully and beautifully walked us through so many of the ins and outs, the why’s and wherefores, the nuts and bolts and nitty gritty of all that is coming up the pike for our congregation in terms of the search for our next settled lead minister.
Very exciting and vital stuff!
If you were unable to join us in person and have yet to watch the service it is highly recommended and will be a truly excellent way to stay in the loop and in the know of what is to come and your role in it all.
This coming Sunday, September 18, you will get to see the faces and hear the voices of our 6 member Transitions Team (T-Team) who held their two day “deep dive” retreat this week under the leadership of consultant and UUCUC member Laura Haber, Rev KB and team co chair Sam Beshers.
The Search Team’s job is to help us explore and find out who we are now, where we want to go next and to help us find our next new lead minister.
The Transitions Team’s job is to help us to reevaluate the way we “do things”, to explore and discover what does and does not “serve us well” and to invite us to practice trying out new processes and perspectives in preparation for our future next steps.
Although often the transition work begins before the search does, there is no hard and fast rule that this has to be so.
So This time at UUCUC we are being creative as our Search team has kicked off in full speed to lead us forward with a packed fall agenda of critical steps.
Our Transitions team will be working in support of the Search team— each with different agendas and styles- both working in con solidarity, each with their distinct purpose and goals. Both teams working side by side- both working to lead us into our future in strength , love and common purpose.
Stay tuned to your enews in the weeks to come for more information!
