May Day, May Day! We didn’t have a dance around a May Pole, but we did get a LOT of work done at our gardening work ‘party’ on Saturday, May 1st.
A huge thank you to: Steve Troyer (for his truck and hauling of two loads of mulch), Andy Robinson for organizing the event, and general helpers: Mike & Karen Retzer, Emily Laugesen, Andy Robinson, Anne & Dave Sharpe, Jerry Carden & Tim Temple, Mimi Ormerod & Linda Owens, Jim Hannum, Kathleen Robbins, Herb Hiestand, Sylvia & Tom McDermott, and Rev. Sally Fritsche. Our youngest volunteers, Maya Robinson and Nora Troyer, provided chalk art at the rear entry!!
The Green UU’s were focused on cleanup of the butterfly garden and the prairie style plantings on the eastern slopes. The Adopt-A-Plot volunteers focused on the other areas surrounding the church. See the pictures and video for a full recap of our progress.
Are you inspired to be a landscape helper? Maybe Adopt-A-Plot or help with one? Reach out to Jerry Carden, Tim Temple, or the Green UUs!
