Our fantastic Music Director, Matt Sheppard, recently let us know that he has accepted the full time position of Artistic Director and Youth Symphony Conductor of the nationally-known Elgin Youth Symphony, with nearly 400 young musicians (https://www.eyso.org/about-us/). Transitions of beloved and talented staff are always hard, but this one is also joyous, because Matt is truly moving in the direction of his training and his passion.
