Kate began as a staff member with UUCUC, first as an Events Coordinator in the fall of 2018, and then as Director of Facilities (which included events, rentals, and building care) in January of 2019. In her short time with us she led the downstairs bathroom remodel, the demolition of the High Street House, and numerous smaller projects. She helped us improve the energy efficiency of our lighting, arranged a safety audit of the building, brought in a new door access system, and worked with our Custodian, Shornor Vineyard. When COVID hit she pivoted to also helping with payroll, RE support, and web support. Through it all she has been a valuable member of our Staff Leadership Team and the Building and Grounds Advisory Team, and supported many families with weddings, memorials, and other events in our building.
