CUPHD Recommends Adults Get the Booster

Rev KB spoke with Julie Pryde, Public Health Administrator at the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District, this week and Julie emphasized that everyone who is eligible to receive the booster shot should get it if they have received their first vaccination shots and the proper amount of time has passed between the original vaccination shots and the booster.

Due to the high rate of infection in Illinois, boosters are available to anyone 18 years of age and older who are at least six months after the second dose of Pfizer or Moderna and two months after the initial J&J dose. For more information about the vaccinations and booster shots, please refer to the CUPHD website.

As we transition to reopening our beloved church building again, we strongly encourage everyone in our community to receive their vaccinations and boosters if they can.
