The month of January, by presidential proclamation, is “National Human Trafficking Prevention Month”. According to Illinois DCFS Director Mark Smith, “Human trafficking is not something that only happens to adults in other countries, it occurs every day across Illinois to children whose average age is 14.”

The Immigrant Justice Team is exploring the impact of human trafficking in our local area. If you know of anyone with a story related to this topic let us know.
