The Immigration Justice Task Force is once again providing backpacks to youth arriving in our area from the southwest border. Commonly referred to as “unaccompanied minors,” these youth arrive with very little.

The backpacks will be filled with supplies and toiletries and will serve as their book bags when they attend high school in the fall.

We are asking for donations of new backpacks, the size suitable to accommodate books and laptops used by high schoolers. We would like to receive them by early May when the YRUU will be assembling them and learning more about immigration issues.
