Giving as a Spiritual Practice

Feeling and expressing gratitude is an essential part of our spiritual practice. In worship we express our gratitude by sharing an offering to support a community group and our programs and ministries. We are reminded of our abundance and our connections. How do we continue this joyful practice during this time of physical separation? Adopt a practice that nourishes you. For some, that means giving online during the streaming service. Others will want to give immediately before or following the service. Mailing a check to church will work best for many people. In the weeks ahead, we will share tips on how to continue practicing gratitude and generosity.

This week’s giving tip: It is easy to give online. If you have already saved a profile, just click on Donate at the top of the uucuc.org web page, log on, and donate. You can donate to our shared offering and make a general donation just as you do during an in-person service. If you don’t have a profile, sign-up now. You can give today or at any time. Note: current online giving uses transfers from bank accounts. Giving by credit card and debit card will be available on or before early April.
