We can focus our grief and rage around George Floyd’s murder into local action: We have a big opportunity to make change right now in local police policy and the citizen police review board. (Prior to recent nationa events, this push was being made in response to the Good Friday beating by Urbana Police of a young Black woman, which is one more incident in a pattern of violence by Urbana (and Champaign) Police.
