We are pleased to announce that our chapter of Navigators USA has been approved. We are now officially Navigator Chapter 278 Urbana-Champaign!

Here are details about what is to come:

  • We plan to have a regular meeting once per month. Every other month, we will also organize a group activity relating to our group’s goals. These group activities might include going to an art museum, overnight camping, or picking up litter in a park. All Navigators will have a voice about what is important to them as we form our group’s goals.
  • Our next meeting is Sunday, February 16th at 2:30 PM.  We will meet in the Children’s Chapel and work on our cooking badge!
  • Navigators is intended for children 4-17, but all are welcome so please spread the word about the meeting. The more the merrier!  Currently, the group age range is 4 to 12.
  • All Navigators will need to have a uniform to wear during future meetings and activities. This will include a Navigator shirt and vest for badges. The cost will be $33.50 plus shipping. You may purchase these at https://navigatorsusa.org/store. Alternatively, you can bring a check to the meeting and we will purchase the items as a group, reducing shipping costs. We also have funds to support the cost of the uniform.  Talk to Michele Grove to find out more about supporting the cost of the uniform.
