This workshop is designed to help participants create the spaces to be self-reflective about our cultural shaping as individuals and institutions, understand the power dynamics in society that impact us, develop the skills to interrupt old patterns and inequitable practices that limit access and exclude some people from our institutions, build trust and clear communication and begin to understand how to make decisions based on multiple perspectives where all people can be heard and represented.

Trainers:  Jyaphia Christos-Rodgers and Kelly Hurst

Crossroads workshops are designed to reveal how systemic racism plays a role in often unseen ways, creating barriers to true multicultural diversity and racial justice. We’ll help you struggle with the tough questions and equip you with the skills to dismantle racism and transform your institution.

The cost for this workshop is underwritten in part by the Racial Justice Project of the UU Church. The cost of attending (which includes lunch) is:

  • $35 for members/friends of UUCUC Church
  • $50 for community members
  • A few scholarships are available for those unable to afford the fee
