Join facilitator Jocelyn Karsk and your fellow UUs as we dive into the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Common Read 2021-2022 pick: Defund Fear: Safety without policing, prisons, and punishment. This book invites us to respond to a crisis in public safety and confront an entrenched, punitive “justice” system. In this book, Zach Norris shifts the conversation about public safety away from fear and punishment and toward growth and support systems for our families and communities. Delve deeper into our Unitarian Universalist faith and discover in what ways we can hold people accountable while still holding them in community.

This course will be facilitated by Jocelyn Karsk on select Thursday evenings between February 3-May 19, 2022 from 7-8:30pm.
