Did you know the UUA is considering a major overhaul of our tradition’s foundational principles and sources? Our current principles were last revised in 1987, and there has been serious discussion over adding an 8th Principle to address racism, and amending the 1st Principle to address non-human life, among other changes.

Join our neighboring Illinois UU congregations this spring for a study group on what it will mean to change our tradition’s principles, sources, and foundational statements, and what we want those changes to look like.

We will use the UU Wellspring format with discussion and reflection questions to allow for a thoughtful experience as participants delve deeply into the meaning and impact of this potential change. The program runs for 8 sessions on Zoom, 7pm, Thursdays from March 10 through April 28.

Each session includes videos and some reading to be viewed ahead of time. To make the pre-work easier for participants, some of the videos will be shown at 6:30pm before class starts at 7pm.
