Join local CU Lockdown Trivia founder and host Julie Laut on Saturday, March 13 at 7:30pm CT to honor the on-going fight for racial equity. This all ages game night, sponsored by the Racial Justice Project at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Urbana-Champaign, promises to teach and inspire.
Put together a team of up to 6 players, select your team name (be creative!), then have your team captain sign up by 9:00am, March 13, using this Google Form. Zoom invites will be sent by noon on the day of the game.
The game will be played in four, ten-question rounds of the following topics (not necessarily in this order): literature and movies, music, civil rights, and the Great Migration. To find out more about how the game works, see the information document.
There is no cost to participate in this event. Participants will instead be encouraged to donate to the Randolph Street Community Gardens, which provides an opportunity for North-end residents of Champaign to grow their own fresh organic produce. At the beginning of the evening, Dawn Blackman will share a little bit of information about the garden and their plans for the future.
We look forward to “seeing” you there!
