Our church is an enthusiastic participant in CROP Walk every year, partly because of the large scope of
work made possible by this coordinated effort.

We give to CROP Walk because it fights every day grinding poverty in CU through ongoing support of the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, Eastern Illinois Food Bank, Sola Gratia Farm, and Wesley Food Pantry. But this is only 25% of its work.

Every year 75% of the funds we raise in CROP Walk are out in the world dealing with global events as
they occur. Right now, funds are helping the search and recovery efforts following the devastating
wildfires in Maui. Thousands of people are now homeless, and too many others have not even been
found. It is heartbreaking!
