This week your Search Team has been conducting cottage meetings with small groups of members and friends to dig deeper into some of the issues raised in the survey.  The discussions have been lively, frank, and informative, just as we’d hoped they would be.  Thank you to all who have attended or will attend one of these sessions.  

Because the response to the initial slate of meetings has been so good, we have decided to add two more to make sure as many people as possible have their voices (literally) heard.  Both will be on this coming Sunday, October 23rd, in the church after the service.  You can sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0a4ca4ab2ba0fd0-cottage or let us know you plan to attend by emailing us at search@uucuc.org.  You can also send us email at that address if you won’t be able to attend a cottage meeting but want to be sure that we know your thoughts about our next minister.

Looking past the cottage meetings, in the last week of October and the first week of November the Search Team will be conducting focus group meetings.  These will be similar in format to the cottage meetings, but will involve specific constituencies in the church and will center on specific areas of church life and what we hope our new minister will bring to them.  We are identifying the groups now and will be reaching out to people in the coming week to set up the meetings.
