Come watch a movie featuring Andrew Flack, a 34 year old man from Illinois who relocated to California after college. He was a special education teacher, a hockey player, and the host of a podcast titled “Death with Dignity.” Andrew was diagnosed with cancer at a very early age (4) and survived that aggressive treatment. However, his cancer returned in his 30’s. After active treatment was unsuccessful, he opted to use medical aid in dying to end his life peacefully in November, 2022. This film includes interviews with Andrew, his parents, and many of his buddies who came to California to have one last hockey game with Andrew. It is a heartwarming look at a warm, generous, counter-culture guy dealing with a tough illness with grace. After the movie we will discuss people’s reactions and have information available about medical aid in dying in Illinois. The movie will be shown in Fellowship Hall and starts at 7pm. Everyone is welcome!
