UU & Me matches adults and youth (ages 10 and older) with someone in a different generation to get to know them better and explore each other’s spiritual journeys.
Why are we doing this? Our congregation values intergenerational relationships! Fostering opportunities to connect and learn from people of all ages is central to our faith and growing Beloved Community. Each one of us, no matter our age, has something of value to offer and to gain from interactions with different generations. In addition, research has shown that most people not only feel a great deal of meaning in connecting with someone of a different age than themselves but that these connections are associated with greater well-being.
No matter your age, we want you to join us!
Participants will be paired up with someone from a different generation with the hope that the same pair will get together for each session. New participants can sign up on a rolling basis throughout the spring. Additional pairs will be created as new people register.
There will be eight hour-long sessions between February and May, each exploring a different theme.
