Come Say a Safe & Distant “Thank you!” to Kate Barton

Kate Barton

From Michele Grove, IDRE:

We have an opportunity to celebrate Kate Barton (events coordinator, facilities coordinator, RE-assistant, office assistant, all-around amazing person) as she leaves her UUCUC professional work.  I have coordinated with Kate. She does not know all that is happening, but she has agreed to the time AND she wants to see you all (safely of course). If you are able to join us for this drive-by celebration, you are welcome (and invite others… it is not a closed event).

Date:  Friday, December 18th from 1:00-2:00 PM
Place:  UUCUC Backyard near the picnic table

How:  Drive in the High Street entrance of the church, roll down your windows, and express your appreciation to Kate.  Please wear your mask!  You may want to get out of the car or off your bicycle for just a minute and talk to Kate from a safe distance. Give her an opportunity to give her love and appreciation to you as well.  Leave a small gift of vegan treats or card or something from your heart on the gift table (a safe distance).  Then drive out the Birch Street exit.

I will make sure she is warm and dry and comfortable during the hour.  I will also make sure that distance is kept in case there is more than one care at once.  All you have to do is come by with your warm wishes and gratitude.  Sound good? If you are unable but would like to leave her something, let me know and I will make arrangements for Kate to receive.

If you have any questions, contact Michele Grove at re-director@uucuc.org.
