Board Encourages Further Donations to Pay Down Principal on Church Mortgage

During its regular scheduled business meeting on June 22, the Board of Trustees unanimously passed a motion to automatically accept restricted gifts of less than $5000 earmarked to pay the mortgage principal. This action was taken to ensure a seamless and expedited path is prepared for our staff and our financial lay leaders to process these generous donations. The Board of Trustees encourages all who are interested in helping to pay down our church’s mortgage to consider adding to this effort, spearheaded by Cliff Singer and Brigette Pieke.

As a reminder, our Constitution requires all gifts of $5,000 and above be accepted by a quorum of the Congregation. The Treasurer will continue to monitor the principal balance and provide regular reports in which the Board will communicate as information becomes available.
