Black Lives of Unitarian Universalism Offers Online Services, Including a Holiday Service

How We Gonna Learn Your Song?
Thursday, December 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT

Given the richness and uniqueness of our Black lives, we cannot truly know what binds us together as Unitarian Universalists without intense and intentional journeys into who and what has shaped and continues to shape us. Our Black Stories Matter. Join us this 1st Thursday of December as we explore the intricacies of finding our people and the potential in feeding a hunger for deeper connection, care, and meaning-making in Black UU communities.

BLUU’s online worship service is Black sacred space in its entirety – by and for Black people, with the words and voices of Black folks across the diaspora – and we hope that Black UUs and Black UU-adjacent folks (who may not call themselves UU, but who are in alignment with our values) from far and wide will join us.

For our non-Black siblings in faith, please DO share this invitation with Black folks in your life and community. We often hear from people who stumble upon BLUU without having known that we existed. So getting the word out about BLUU is one area where we would appreciate your support!

Come on into our Zoom Room as early as 8:45pm ET/5:45pm PT, get settled, say hello to the folks who are already gathering, and listen to the music softly playing as we all prepare for our time together.

There’s a Lifting…
Thursday, December 15th @ 4:00 p.m. ET / 3:00 p.m. PT

A fundamental law of energy says that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, but shifted. Energy is always conserved. But conserved into and for what? Join us as we gather for this holiday season and consider and reimagine how to direct our individual and collective energies as we move toward a new year and a new decade.
