Lisa Villani-Gale, Individual Giving Officer for Planned Parenthood of Illinois, stopped by on Wednesday, August 28 to thank UUCUC for its financial support through our Shared Offering from May 2019.
Welcome Hospitality Team A co-leaders, Pam Richart and Jenna Zeidler, and Team A volunteers who will assist with bell ringing, ushering, welcoming, providing decorations, and snacks during the month of September.
The UUCUC Office will be closed on Monday, September 2 in recognition of the Labor Day holiday. The office will also be closed on Wednesday, September 4 due to the annual staff retreat.
UUCUC is proud to offer Our Whole Lives for 7th-9th graders beginning in September.
Many children were provided free haircuts and school supplies that were donated. Thanks to all who donated and volunteered their time to support this event!
This year, it is important to fill out a form for each child or youth enrolled so that we can connect children and youth with the adults in our Breeze database.
Last week, I provided a garden tour for Wild One’s from Bloomington who granted us the money for the tall slope gardens. They were impressed by all of our gardens and kept asking: is this one the grant garden?
Friend of UUCUC Susan Parenti and the School for Designing a Society here in CU will be bringing together ten local people and ten people from around the world for three months this fall in an intensive exploration of possible creative responses to climate change.
The UUCUC office will be open between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. through August 30.
