When Michele Grove, our interim director of religious education arrived last August, there was no religious education committee. Part of her call is to work with the congregation to discern the best way to make lifespan religious education happen. We live in a new era where committees are not always the right structure for accomplishing the needed work. There are a group of people who will serve temporarily to look at the right structure for making lifespan religious education happen. This group is a religious education task force and their first meeting is tonight, April 11 at 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the UUCUC Library. Task force work has a time limit. The sole duty of this group is to design the support structures for religious education.
This is an open meeting. If anyone is interested in playing with creative models of making religious education happen, this is the group for you! If you are interested but are unable to attend this evening, reach out to Michele. There will be plenty of opportunities to join in this creative work. Email Michele at re-director@uucuc.org or call the church office.
