“How to Die in Oregon” is a powerful, sensitive documentary about individuals facing a terminal illness who choose to use medical aid in dying. Medical aid in dying laws allow mentally competent, terminally ill individuals to receive a prescription that will allow them a peaceful death. Oregon is the first state in the US to authorize such care, which is now legal in 9 states and Washington, DC.
This is a free showing on Tuesday, September 10, at the Art Theater in Champaign, starting at 7pm. This film is sponsored by Compassion & Choices, Final Options Illinois, and ACLU-Illinois.
