Since 1914, our beautiful sanctuary has hosted wedding ceremonies for members and non-members of differing faiths. We welcome weddings for same-sex couples.

Ministers
Our ministers are generally available to officiate member weddings, and can be available to officiate non-member weddings for a separate fee negotiated with the minister. In addition, we can provide you with contact information for other experienced ministers who you may contact. You are also welcome to have your own minister officiate your wedding.

Accompanist and A/V Support
Music and A/V support for your ceremony are also important components of making your day special, and UUCUC offers these services. Please note, these services are dependent on the availability of the UUCUC Accompanist and A/V Tech. Fees for these services are provided upon request. You are welcome to have your own accompanist at your ceremony with prior approval.

We also have a sound system available if you have pre-recorded selections that you would like to use.

The Rose Window
The stained glass rose window is the heart of our Sanctuary, and has removable centerpieces that can be inserted and associated with the theme of your wedding. The Heart is a popular centerpiece for weddings. In addition, we offer a selection of banners related to various faiths that can be displayed on the Sanctuary walls.

Wedding Rental Rates and Policies

• The rental fees below reflect a 4-hour time frame. Additional time may be negotiated with the Facilities Manager.
• Meeting with, and access, to Facilities Manager for planning and onsite presence for setup, rehearsal, ceremony and cleanup.
• Fees for Minister are to be negotiated separately.
• Fees for Accompanist and A/V Tech are provided upon request.
• Fees cover basic clean up. All decorations are required to be removed by renter at the conclusion of the event. Please be sure that this is delegated to someone prior to your event and that the Facilities Manager is made aware of who will be taking care of removing decorations.
• Use of Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, and 2 additional rooms for the wedding party prior to the ceremony.
  
  

Additional Notes

• Meetings with Minister are to be scheduled by separate arrangement.
• You are welcome to use an outside officiant for your wedding, with prior approval from UUCUC ministers.
• You are welcome to use outside accompanist or A/V services for your wedding with prior approval of the Facilities Manager.
• Must be a member in good standing a minimum of 6 months prior to scheduling an event in order for member fees to apply.
• If there is a private event where there is no staff present, masks are optional when the community transmission level in Champaign County for COVID-19 is at medium or low according to the Champaign County Public Health Dept. If staff is present, and the transmission level is high, all visitors are required to wear masks.
• Please refer to the UUCUC Manual for Building Use and Rental Policies for additional information regarding fees and security deposits.
