We’re All In!

The Immigrant Justice Team wants to invite you to this year’s Welcoming Week September 13-22nd. This annual event is sponsored by the New American Welcome Center and is a great way to show what an inclusive, diverse community we are.  It’s a week of family events, both in person and virtual, that celebrate the tapestry that makes Champaign-Urbana a great place to live. There’s crafts and activities for kids, performances, cake walks, music and education. 

Check out the calendar at bit.ly/3MscVbN to see what you are able to attend! Members from our team will be at the kickoff event at Lincoln Square on Friday, September 13, at 6pm, and invite you to join us for dynamic performances and food (while it lasts)!! The week will end with the 11th annual Immigrant Awards on Sunday the 22nd at the Urbana Free Library at 1:30pm followed by food and fellowship. There is something for everyone and it’s the perfect way to embrace your community!
